Training for the people who show up every week
The Worship Musician makes short, practical training for worship drummers, guitarists, vocalists and the leaders who put the team together. Most worship musicians are volunteers with day jobs and families. They don't need a semester of theory. They need to know what their part is, how to prepare this week's set, and how to make rehearsal count.
So everything here is short enough to get through before the next rehearsal, and practical enough to use that same week.
Who writes it
Jon Skaggs has spent more than thirty years in music as a touring and studio drummer, tour manager, producer, songwriter and TV and film composer. He has played drums for artists including Casting Crowns, Brandon Heath, Nichole Nordeman, Aaron Shust, Meredith Andrews, Shane and Shane, and Chris Sligh, and he has spent plenty of Sundays and Wednesday nights on church platforms too.
The lessons in these eBooks and courses come from that mix: what works on a tour stage, what works in a sanctuary with a volunteer band, and what carries over between the two.
